Information Sent Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Citrus Heights Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those queries on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address is used only to read and answer what the sender included.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those logs can be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand broad page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also use cookies or similar tools when enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
The purposes are operating the reference, troubleshooting, measuring traffic, and improving content. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual reader profiles are not built from these limited signals.
External Portals and Links
The pages link to Sacramento County and California records portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once a link is opened, the destination's privacy policy controls the information submitted there. The third-party provider behind sponsored results is separate from this reference.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the routine technical data described above. Disclosure is made when valid legal process requires it, or when otherwise permitted by law.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no reader accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored by this reference.
People Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, use the Contact page so the limited material can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Your California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears in Civil Code §§1798.100–1798.199.100. Depending on the person and business involved, it can provide access, correction, deletion, sale or sharing opt-out, and limits on some sensitive-personal-information uses. The Delete Act, Civil Code §§1798.99.80 et seq., also created the California Privacy Protection Agency's DROP process for covered data brokers. Because this reference keeps very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Government records held by California, Sacramento County, or Citrus Heights are outside this reference's control; requests about those go to the custodian under the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000.
Policy Changes
